Technical Program Manager

Location: Hybrid — 2 days per week on the client site in Washington, DC.

The Technical Program Manager is responsible for leading complex cross-functional technology initiatives that require coordination across business, technical, security, and executive stakeholders. This role serves as the primary point of accountability for delivery, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of enterprise technology initiatives, process improvement efforts, and innovative business solutions.
  • Build trusted relationships with business owners, executives, technical teams, vendors, and governance stakeholders.
  • Facilitate decision-making, resolve issues, and drive alignment across multiple organizations.
  • Manage project risks, dependencies, escalations, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Translate technical concepts into clear business-focused communications and executive briefings.
  • Coordinate activities across architecture, security, operations, development, and support teams.
  • Ensure successful delivery of project objectives, milestones, and business outcomes.
  • Drive accountability, transparency, and continuous communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong program or project management experience leading complex IT and business initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and bring clarity to complex situations.
  • Experience managing executive-level communications, risks, and escalations.
  • Working knowledge of cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and IT operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify improvement opportunities and drive innovative solutions that enhance business processes and service delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus, establish trust, and drive successful outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups.
